On the option front, implied volatility has once again increased by 150-200 basis point on account of extremely high intra-day volatility, pointing towards high volatility in the coming days.
Thus one has to be careful these days and should trade with stop loss as one can be caught surprised as the technical bounce back is with a vengeance and this has led to shorts being trapped badly.

Share Market Today
India has a reason to cheer as positive statements from the government helped the markets close in green after an extremely volatile trade. Sensex gained 151 points to close at 16063, while Nifty finished at 4765, up 55 points. BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices gained 2% and 1.8% respectively. Another booster factor is that union cabinet today decided that there should be at least 10% public holding in all profitable state runs firms. BSE advance-decline ratio stood at 2.2:1.
The government has also decided that proceeds from divestment of equity in state-run firms can be directly used for capital expenditure on social sector programmes, rather than routing it through the National Investment fund. Commenting on the proposed new direct tax code, the Finance Minister said that the aim is to lower tax rates. Airline stocks also surged on the back of reports that FDI norms in aviation will be reviewed.
