1. If anybody among you has taken Tata Indicom USB Modem and has been troubled because of poor speed, than this post is for you as method exists by which the speed can be inmproved and same is elaborated below:
2. You must have had Speed Plus software installed on computer and same can be downloaded from Tata Indicom home page.
3. Please undertake following action at your computer:
My Computer> Control Panel> Phone and Modem>Modems>select SIT_1xUSBmodem> Properties>diagnositics>query modem (this action be undertaken when the USB modem is not connected but is plugged in the com port- remember this is an important step) > One will see on screen- "communicating with modem, it may take several seconds">advanced>Extra initialisation command>AT+CRM=1>ok
4. One can skip this step if one is not able to get it correctly.

5. However do remember to type this command AT+CRM=1 properly in the extra initialisation commands where one reached when one clicked on Advanced column given on top after having selected the correct modem in correct com port. Remember the command is in all capitals and without any space.
