1. It was clear that the marriage between Congress and CPI is leading to a divorce and thus market was able to bear the break up but negative home economy reports and weak global scenario took its toll on the market.
2. Indian stock market is seeing thin volumes, low Nifty put call ratio and FII being sellers indicate that the trend is negative for the market. To add fuel to fire Chicago Board Options Exchange’s Volatility Index (CBOE VIX) which is a means to track markets trend world wide has also risen to the level of 29 implying that sub prime crisis is again taking its toll on the prime world market by virtue of two mortgage firms Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae also being threatened due to their mortgage guarantees.
3. Sensex has to close above 14700 to show some strength in the market. Volatility is seen in the market in coming days. On the lower levels market can fall to 12700-12350 if it continously closes below 13250 levels. If market breaks 12299 level then the Indian stock market Sensex can touch 11250 levels.
