1. All central govt employees must be looking for the VI pay commision and I had a chance meeting with Justice Srikrishna of 1993 Bombay riot fame who is the chairperson of VI Pay Commission.
2. Pay Commission report is likely to be submitted to the govt by 04 Apr,08 and likely to be announced by Oct/Nov. However the time taken by the govt is not sacrosanct.
3. Projections by all the govt sectors has been for an increase to the tune of 4-4.5 times of their basic salary.
4. As I Know Justice Srikrishna being the most honest and straight forward man and thus all the genuine demands are likely to be met and no IAS lobby will be able to scuttle any genuine demand of any sector till the time the same is scuttled by Justice Srikrishna himself. Since he has been a Justice himself thus people will get the due they deserve to live a quality life.
